About Dr. Hassan

Dr. Joshua M. Hassan is a board-certified periodontist who combines deep clinical training with a strong focus on patient comfort and clear communication. He earned his dental degree from Temple University Kornberg School of Dentistry, graduating Magna Cum Laude, and received the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology Dental Student Award. After dental school, he completed the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) Periodontal Residency, where he earned a Master of Oral Sciences, received the Pat Allen Resident Scholarship Award, and served as Chief Resident. During residency, he also received advanced training in implants, bone augmentation, and IV conscious sedation.

In 2018, Dr. Hassan earned Diplomate status from the American Board of Periodontology after completing a rigorous examination series covering periodontal disease treatment, hard/soft tissue grafting, surgical reconstruction with dental implants, and IV conscious sedation. He is also certified in the LANAP protocol (2021), a minimally invasive laser-based approach to treating periodontal and peri-implant disease.

Dr. Hassan is known for collaboration and education—he enjoys working with colleagues and has lectured on soft tissue grafting, full-mouth implant rehabilitation, bone grafting/ridge augmentation, and digital dentistry.
